Our initial area of research is focused on identifying:

Anti-feedants: using locally sourced chemicals to inhibit insect attacks on plant crops.

Veterinary products: Antibiotics, anti-parasitic drugs and other animal health products constitute a major proportion of global market demand.

Anti-melanoma: Melanoma is a major cause of death in Australia. Its location on the body makes it easier to access for topical chemical treatments.

We currently have projects investigating:

  1. The use of native plants for natural food flavourings and colour.
  2. The use of naturally occurring allelopathic compounds as germination inhibitors.
  3. Anti-fungal properties of a range of native plants.
